Stone Mountain Trip
Don't hold your breath while you view this post as there are more galleries than you can shake a stick at.
Our recent trip to Atlanta was exciting as we went to several places. First, we went to the Coca-Cola Factory in downtown Atlanta. A very interesting experience, but the best part was tasting all the different kinds of Coca-Cola products sold around the world. If you go... my favorite geographic location (outside the US) was Asia.
Later that night, after we got back from downtown, we went to the Laser Light Show at Stone Mountain. A very interesting way to spend the end of an evening.
Sunday, we went up Stone Mountain, toured the museum, rode the train around the mountain, played in the park, rode the Ducks (Ride the Ducks), and finished off the evening with Brooke's 1st Birthday Party.
Finally, on our way back Monday, we when to Zoo Atlanta. Everyone had a good time, but Brooke was especially excited about all the animals.
Take a look through all the galleries.
Nashville 2008
These are photos from our May 2008 trip to Nashville, TN.
David and I went to a move (Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian) while the ladies shopped. After the movie, we met up and ate the the Aquarium Restaurant in the Opry Mills Mall.
Later we took the kids to Build-A-Bear where they each build a bear. (David actually build a turtle). Brooke's bear is named Bella and David named his turtle Cheek.
We spent some time in the pool and hot tub and just had fun being with each other.
GALLERY: Kids Having Fun
Here's a gallery full of miscellaneous pictures taken of the kids. There are several of David and Brooke in the sandbox, a couple of Brooke's first purse, some of Brooke eating chalk, David picking flowers, and a cute gallery of the kids eating cupcakes.
I hope these are as enjoyable to you as they were for me taking them. Kids can be lots of fun..... but messy!
2008 Easter Egg Hunt
Brooke's first Easter egg hunt was a great success. Neither Brooke nor David found a prize egg, but they got lots of candy and about 200 plastic eggs. (We threw over half in the garbage!). David was a little afraid of the Easter Bunny for some reason so his smile was less than enthusiastic. Enjoy the photo gallery.
The funniest thing about the day was David poor luck with balloons. First, we got him one, and tied it to his basket so he wouldn't loose it. Halfway through the egg hunt, it strangely came untied and flew off. After the hunt we went to get a new one. This time Pastor Stewart tied it to David's arm. Two minutes later, the balloon deflated. When went back. Got another balloon, tied it to his arm, and before we could walk away, it too started deflating. Guess third time is NOT the charm. Finally the last one made it home.
David the Photographer
Here's a cute gallery of photos taken by David. We gave him our small digital camera and he went to town taking photos of everything. It's interesting to see things from his perspective. There's even one that was taken upside-down. I'm not sure myself how to operate a camera upside-down, but he managed it. I didn't remove any photos except 4 that were basically black! Enjoy.
